Mark B. Wilson
Mark B. Wilson
Mark B. Wilson graduated from the University of Southern California in 1985 and received his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in 1988. Mr. Wilson was chosen in SuperLawyers® Southern California Magazine in 2005-present, which features outstanding lawyers from more than 60 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. SuperLawyers® also recognized Mr. Wilson in 2008 in SuperLawyers® Southern California Magazine and SuperLawyers® Corporate Counsel Edition. In 2005, Mr. Wilson was elected as an officer of the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association and served on the Board of Directors from 2002-2008. In 2006, the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association selected Mr. Wilson as a finalist for the Business Litigation Trial Lawyer of the Year. Mr. Wilson is an arbitrator for the Orange County Superior Court.
Mr. Wilson began trying cases even before he graduated from law school in a program sponsored by the Los Angeles District Attorney's office. As a meticulous attorney, Mr. Wilson brings to court an eye for detail and a sense of organization essential to win complex trials. Mr. Wilson has tried cases in federal and state courts involving a wide variety of issues including copyright infringement, construction defects, covenants not to compete, breach of contract, attorney malpractice, unlawful detainer, and personal injury. He has won almost every case he has tried or arbitrated. Mr. Wilson lost only one jury trial, and the appellate court reversed the judgment in Mr. Wilson's favor.
In addition to being a successful trial attorney, Mr. Wilson is also a skilled negotiator and has settled cases many clients believed would never be resolved short of trial. When other attorneys lose their tempers, Mr. Wilson keeps his focus and refuses to let his emotions get in the way of resolving the matter at hand.
Martindale-Hubbell awarded Mr. Wilson its highest rating of AV. The "A" represents the highest rating an attorney can receive for professional skills, as ranked by other attorneys and judges. The "V" is the highest rating an attorney can receive for ethical standards.
Mr. Wilson has lectured to many bar organizations on modern trial techniques and has authored several articles on trial practice. He is also a contributing author to one of the leading legal treatises on construction law.
Twice, the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association awarded Mr. Wilson "Board Member of the Year" for his contributions to the organization and the legal profession.
